It is near the village of Skalistoyeh in the Bakhchisaray District, at the foot of a cliff, near the river Bodrak. The floor space of the grotto is 28 square meters, depth is about 4 meters, height is 2 meters. From the Crimean Tatar language its name is translated as "devil cave".
In the cave a dwelling of primitive people of the Middle Paleolithic era (100-40 thousand BC) was found in 1929. During archaeological excavations flint tools and animal bones, for which primitive people hunted, were found in it. Rock paintings and a hearth have also been found there.
