The Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol are part of the Russian national banking and finance systems. Today, you can withdraw cash at ATMs or a bank using your bank card. Keep in mind that some Russian banks do not have branches on the peninsula; however, this has not affected transactions on the cards they issue.

Bank cards are accepted at major hotels, health resorts, as well as the airport, railway and bus terminal ticket offices, supermarkets, sales outlets of major retail networks, restaurants and many cafes. However, it is strongly recommended that you have cash on you while staying in Crimea.

You should remember that if your bank card was issued outside Russia, it is possible that you will not be able to use it. This could happen if the bank that issued this card has not signed agreements with Russian financial institutions. Currency exchange offices at bank branches in Crimea offer exchange rates set by the Russian Central Bank.

Foreign payment systems may not work or be updated in Crimea and the city of Sevastopol due to international sanctions.
