A 6th century Orthodox church, it is a piece of Byzantine architecture, the oldest in Crimea. The ancient part of the church, built of alternating rows of white stone and flat red plinth bricks, has a cross-domed layout. It was partially reconstructed in the 10th century, then in the 19th century. The vestibules and the neo-Byzantine bell tower were added. It is a functioning Orthodox Church.
