This Muslim dervish monastery dating back to the 15th-16th centuries is Russia's cultural heritage site. Dervish Tekie translates from Turkic as "wayfaring men's abode". Tekie is a domical hall surrounded by small monastic cells with earth floor. Next to the mosque is the building that at one time housed a madrasah and now accommodates the Crimean Tatar Culture Museum.
