The construction of the rectangular-shaped synagogue to the design of architect Adam Genrikh began in 1912. The walls of the synagogue are made of yellow Mamai limestone. The main and west façade masonry replicates the wall masonry of the Temple in Jerusalem. There is the Jewish Culture and Ethnography Centre and a kosher café-cum-museum on the territory of the synagogue.
