Balaklava Underground Museum

The museum, a branch of the Military History Museum of Fortifications, is located on the western bank of Balaklava Bay beneath Mount Tavros in the tunnels of a former underground submarine repairs and maintenance plant. The exhibition of the naval museum complex includes the underground part of the plant, an arsenal, a sea berth and several buildings. The public has access to the area around the canal that cuts through the mountain, some of the plant's workshops and the arsenal where torpedoes and nuclear warheads were stored.
