This architectural landmark in the city of Stary Krym is the oldest surviving mosque in the peninsula. It was founded in 1314 under Öz Beg Khan of the Golden Horde. A madrasah, which now lies in ruins, was added in 1332. The mosque has a simple form with only one minaret. The gate and the mihrab are decorated with carvings and inscriptions with the date of construction. The mosque functions and tourists visit it regularly.
