The monastery named after Holy Great Martyr Theodore Stratelates (Chelter-Koba) is one of Crimea's oldest cave monasteries. It includes the main church, monastic cells and a refectory, which are connected by paths cut out in solid rock. Presumably, it was founded in the 13th or 14th century. It was destroyed in the 15th century. Work to reconstruct the monastery began in the early 2000s. The main church has resumed services and part of monastic cells and the belfry have been reconstructed. The site has the national cultural heritage status.
