The palace was built near Cape Plaka in the early 20th century. It was commissioned by Princess Anastasia Gagarina and designed by the famous architect Nikolai Krasnov in the Art Nouveau style blended with some Gothic style influences. Today, it houses the administrative building of the Utyos Sanatorium.
