The museum is located on the territory of the Holy Trinity Cathedral. Archbishop Luke (born Valentin Voyno-Yasenetsky) was a Russian surgeon and bishop of the Russian Orthodox Church. He was canonised in 2000. During the last years of his life he served as archbishop of the Holy Trinity Cathedral, which today holds his relics. The museum also keeps his personal belongings, photos and documents.
