For example, visitors will see a copy of the Kashtanka book with Chekhov's dedication to Sergei Nikolayevich Shchukin, whom the playwright met in 1898, just at the time when he lived at the Omür dacha. Shchukin, or Father Sergiy, was a priest and teacher at the Dormition Church school in Autka. He was respected and revered by the inhabitants of the city; he helped the poor and sympathized with the sick, especially those with tuberculosis. The authority of Father Sergiy among the parishioners was enormous. Anton Chekhov presented him with a gift of his photo with a signature − it will also be exposed at the new exhibition.

She succeeded to stage a huge classical opera repertoire in Yalta with the help of amateurs and participated in it both as an actress and as a director. After the death of her husband, Fanny Tatarinova dedicated her talent and her funds to the needy, especially those suffering from tuberculosis.
