Representatives of all the country's Navy ― the Black Sea, Pacific, Baltic, Northern fleet, and also the Caspian flotilla ― gather on the dance floor. And civil couples from all over Russia will be dancing along with the officers' couples. The dance couples will traditionally take part in the world's only Military Ballroom Parade ― a gala ceremony of welcoming the military and civil society in the style of ballroom dancing.
The 8th International Officers‘ Big Ball in Sevastopol will be held at the Mikhailovskaya Battery on June 20. It will be dedicated to the 325th anniversary of the Russian Navy, the Day of Russia, the Day of the Hero City of Sevastopol and the 115th anniversary of the birth of the Russian composer Dmitry Shostakovich, the organizers inform.
