Mount Demerdzhi is part of the mountain range of the main ridge of the Crimean Mountains. It has two summits — North Demerdzhi (1,356 m) and South Demerdzhi (1,239 m). The name means "blacksmith" in the Tatar language. There are many caves in these mountains. The Valley of Ghosts — a unique conglomeration of stones — is located on the western slope of the South Demerdzhi.
